What do parents control in the Drop app?
Everything. Parents control how much a child can spend and where. The band can be shut off in an instant if misplaced. Coaches, helpers, parents, etc can access the emergency profile. Nothing turns on without a parent.
Build the emergency profile: allergies, contacts, the details that matter in a pinch, readable in seconds by the adult standing there.

How do kids pay without a phone?
Kids pay with Drop Band by holding their wrist to any contactless card reader, the same tap to pay that works with a credit card. Parents load money and set spending limits in the Drop app, and every transaction shows up instantly. No phone, card, or cash required.

Does Drop Band track my child?
No. Drop Band does not track your child. The band has no GPS, no microphone, no Bluetooth, and no battery. It's a passive chip that is only active for the instant it touches a reader. Drop was built on the belief that kids deserve independence, not surveillance.
This is a deliberate design choice, not a missing feature. Most kids' wearables sell parents an always on signal. We think that trains everyone, kids and parents, to depend on the leash. Drop gives you control over what matters (the money, the profile, the permissions) without turning childhood into a tracking exercise.
Is Drop Band safe for kids to use?
Yes. Drop Band carries no personal data. No name, card number, or login lives on the band, just an encrypted payment token. Payments are tokenized EMV on the Mastercard network, and accounts are issued by Pathward®, N.A., Member FDIC, with verified KYC and AML checks at account opening.
