What is Drop for organizations? +
Drop is a trusted ecosystem delivered through a screen free wearable. Organizations issue members one credential that handles identity, access, wellness, engagement, and payments, managed from a single control layer the organization owns.
Do members need a smartphone or app? +
No. The band works with nothing else on the member. No phone, app, battery, or charging. Administrators and, where relevant, parents manage settings through the Drop app.
Can bands be branded for our organization? +
Yes. Drop supports fully branded band programs for teams, schools, events, campaigns, and organizations, including sponsor activation.
How do payments work? +
Tap to pay runs as tokenized EMV on the global Mastercard network. Drop Pay accounts are issued by Pathward®, N.A., Member FDIC.
Does the band track members? +
No. There is no GPS, Bluetooth, or battery. The band is a passive credential that activates only at a reader. Organizations get participation and transaction insight, a record that a tap happened, never a live location.
